Unlawful Sexual Contact 34-21-001625

On February 18, 2021 Middletown Police responded to a residence in the Spring Mill Community for the report of a possible sexual assault.  The elderly victim reported that a male claiming to be from the fire department entered her residence and touched her breast.

The victim thought she was allowing a home health care nurse into her residence when she opened the garage door for the male.  The male entered the residence and engaged the victim in conversation.  At the conclusion of the conversation the male placed his hand in the blouse of the victim touching her breast.

The investigation revealed that John A Pase (48) of Newark and a member of the Middletown Vol Fire Co. had responded to the victim’s residence approximately two weeks prior in his official capacity as an EMT.   Pase returned to the residence on February 18, 2021 alone, off duty, and in his personal vehicle.

Pase was charged with Unlawful Sexual Contact 3rd degree.  He was arraigned and released on his on recognizance and also issued a no contact order with the victim.
